Congratulation; Marriage

The power of the image

For those who do not know, Tyra Banks is just the spokesperson for the U.S. promotion of a healthy body image and a healthy weight. She has made several public appearances mentioned only what mattered, it was not lepoids, but health and she never uttered the words diet or plan under which it was issued. In fact, these public appearances were in response to some bad language which were swollen and thus less attractive.

After telling the whole world how much she was well into her skin, she has ... thin! The same phenomenon occurred with Jennifer Love Hewitt. Paparazzi have unveiled unflattering photos of this beautiful actress showing that she had gained weight. Following this, Ms. Love-Hewitt has made a public appearance during which she mentioned that she was wonderfully well in his skin and that being a size 6, it was not been fat. Several women were happy that these two beauties say publicly that, despite their weight, they were so beautiful!

Does the fact that both have since lost the weight gained just discredit the message they sent to women in this world? It is discussed. Personally, I think so. Why? Because weight loss did not occur randomly. It was an approach chosen, especially in the case of Tyra Banks. She has spoken publicly and shared her slimming tips. It was nice not to mention the word diet when on air, call a spade a spade, his process was a loss of weight, 30 pounds in less than 6 months is a plan. Finally, it should not be that good, it confirms in an interview in which she says she feels more energetic and she snores less since she lost weight.

Tyra Banks is also host of the show America's Next Top Model and is part of the show she COMIS a real faux pas. At the hearing of mannequi ns become, she said to the thinness (maigreur!) the size of one of them. Since then, a debate is underway whether Tyra Banks is a hypocrite .

One thing is certain, it does not escape the pressure of his environment. However, his reaction to the thinness of this model is in total contradiction with its message of promoting a healthy body image. To me, his reaction is to destroy all his words before. Tell when a woman does not need to be ultra thin to be beautiful, it will not be credible. How can we dispose of these models of beauty that do not represent any health? Do we need a public figure to tell us it's okay not to be ultra thin to be beautiful to be believed? Hopefully not, because this path seems rough and subject to change ...

Polyps In Bladder Symptoms

Ignorance ...

As I mentioned today on twitter, I'm always surprised how prejudices about overweight and obesity are present, common and shared. I I walk on various blogs and websites on weight, body image and other related topics and what catches my attention the most, are the comments left by readers.

Ignorance?

explanations such as "eat better and move more" things are comunes. Until then, no surprise. This is the logic that speaks. Simple equation: burn more calories than what is coming. This equation demeurre incorrect because incomplete, but I understand the reasoning. No, what surprised me and shocked me, what are comments like: "It is well known, large are lazy, eat poorly ... "

Ignorance!

I do not really want to go into a developed explanation of my understanding of the issue of weight, but it concerns me to remember that being overweight is explained by a multitude of factors not only individual, but also environmental genetics, dietary habits, socioeconomic status, mental health (self-esteem, body image, depression, anxiety, etc..) physical health (disease causing medication for example), physical environment (food , cycle path, marketing, advertisements ...) and I forget.

Openness

I find it deplorable that such misconceptions persist and be shared openly. How can we afford to judge without knowing? Some should learn to look before you judge ... It's not just the weight in life and this can in no way be considered a failure because it is a physical characteristic and a physical characteristic has never allowed predict a trait ...

Note positive and educational

I want to finish on a positive note, an initiative on which I have written before: Operation Beautiful! I started to participate by leaving positive ratings in various public places. I invite you to do the same. It's crazy the power of words ...

Now, for those who want to read about prejudice and overweight, you have several options. the Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity wrote more stuff about it. In particular, a text on public health and the stigma of obesity. Dr. Arya Sharma has also written several tickets about it on his blog. the Task Force on Obesity and overweight (BIG) have a different and interesting and obesity are highly critical of the diets. Their website is worth a visit! Finally, for those who want to undertake a process of reflection on their relationship with their body, weight, clinical Muula also offers an approach that differs from the others.

Another kind of traffic that the bike path Boyer! Each day, several events surpennent me, but today was really something! On the bike path, we see everything. What I saw of the most fun, it's a girl who had settled support to coffee! I was really jealous and I plan to suggest something for Bixi! But today, surprise or astonishment was less ... pleasant and rewarding ...

I thought the guy was rolling forward and had a right not con
pick a bit risky. I finally realized it was because he was busy texting while driving ... I overtake being careful not to make me get into it and found myself behind a guy on roller blade, sipping coffee in one hand and a cigarette to the other! But ... he wore a helmet!

Should I talk about ... is Actually, I m'sens better now and I am ready to face other nonsense! This is not what is missing in the joyous world of weight loss! Others still thank you all who have shared their comments!

How Myammee Kept Changing Hair

What do we do? Beware

I spent the morning go climbing in Val David with my lover and my 16 year old niece. It really was a super morning and conditions were perfect! I took the opportunity to talk about my favorite subject almost with my niece's body image in the background, beauty, physical appearance and the importance we give it. We, in sense to us, sure, but also in the sense of them: parents, friends, media, fashion industry, diet ... It was really interesting.

I have a project focusing more on girls rather than adults as I do now. I think everything is played at that age in terms of our self-image and the impact it will have on our self-esteem, which has effects on many spheres of our lives. My niece is very lit and very critical so I like to hear his views.

What I understood? Especially since our campaigns awareness were little known and not "Pognant" not ... Peluredebanane.com , healthy mind, Good Feel , awareness of the dangers of mixed alcohol and energy drinks, etc. ... In fact, so they do not know, so it does not reach the target audience, so it does not affect them ... Yet these are nice programs ... So what?

I wonder now how to reach them? How to stimulate critical thinking in relation to images of fashion? How to help them love as they are with their faults and their strengths and avoid they adopt bad habits in hopes of losing extra pounds, imaginary or not? How the bottom so they do not pass by the way also that too many women have gone through?

Some will be tempted to answer it is perhaps a way of learning, then the key to achieving self-acceptance ... I doubt too many women to grow old without love more the image of reference the mirror. Maybe he should talk to them? Their about us? Our relationship with our image, with sincerity ... Other ideas?

Prices Of Waxing In Hawaii

protein modified fasts

This morning Association for Public Health of Quebec , broadcast its news release regarding the new report by the AETMIS about the fast modified protein. The main recommendations of the report are not to provide such coverage for those who did not overweight, if the person has a BMI of 30 or more, not having recourse to the scheme on the front line. I really encapsulates. For those interested, read the report, it's really interesting!

The quick fix is not the perfect body either!
For me it's just a good excuse to say regimes, it does not work! I can get you out statistics (95% of people regain lost weight within 5 years following a plan, regardless of the regime, even Weight Watchers!), There will always say yes but I know a girl for whom it worked! ". Ok, it is part of 5% maybe ... So the dream demeurre! I'll perhaps also part of me that 5%! So today I ask you, what would it take for you to stop being tempted by the various products, services and means for weight loss? I'm really interested in your answers to this issue.

A word about the Festival Mode et Design Montréal
I think it's really great to make fashion accessible to the general public and therefore I love the concept of this festival. But I find it unfortunate that there is a parade for specific body diversity. Why diversity would it not part of the event in its entirety? We still something apart, especially when the purpose of the Charter , quite the contrary. This is to ensure that diversity is the norm, because it IS the norm! In addition, perhaps it would be good for sales of Quebec designers? Thus, more people could imagine wearing their clothes! I launch the idea, but she comes from a section read today in The New York Times very interesting.

In closing, I await your responses: What would you stop being tempted by the various products, services and means for weight loss (Weight Watchers included!)?

Is Computer Exposure Bad For New Born Baby?

Frankly

I'm a little late in regards to this event, but it's so outrageous that I had to write something about it.

So Urban Outfitters thought this was involved in the fight against obesity by launching a t-shirt on which one finds the slogan: Eat Less! In fact I wonder where to start ... Is it the fact that the mannequin is ultra thin and has looked ill or simply inconvenient slogan?
I asked myself the question. Obviously the model makes it all the more scandalous, but it would not be better if they had chosen a strong model size, far away ... Quite the contrary current movement whose body diversity promotes the Charter for a healthy body image and diversified .
Basically, the message is the problem.
short, it's really bad marketing and as I mentioned on Facebook, they have lost at least one customer! I invite you to read the blog of actress Sophia Bush dealing with this subject. On this, eat your fill!

Beautiful fragrant peaches well (yes, they're in season) + = few petals of hibiscus jam red look great, plus a small taste of sour candy.

For 3 jars of jam

1 kg of yellow peaches (pitted and cut into small pieces) 1 k
g sugar for jam type Confisuc (it's sugar added pectin: it allows a very quick cooking - fruit thus keep their beautiful original color)

The day before, Mix peaches and sugar in large bowl. Allow fruit to juice for 12 hours at least.

the day, enclose the petals dried hibiscus in a piece of muslin (or gauze) without tightening. Transfer the fruit into a preserving pan or large saucepan and heat over high heat. Once the mixture boils remove from heat and let infuse hibiscus flowers for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The jam needs to take a nice deep red color. Remove the muslin and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

To check for doneness, place a spoonful of jam in a small glass. The store in the freezer for 2 minutes: the jam must be frozen. If this is not the case, cook 2 or 3 minutes longer. Put immediately into sterile jars that you will return until completely cooled.
